The Rt Hon. the Baroness Bottomley of Nettlestone was born Virginia Hilda Brunette Maxwell Bottomley on 12 March 1948 in Scotland, and is a Conservative Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 24 June 2005. She previously sat in the House Of Commons as MP for South West Surrey.
