Tim Loughton MP

East Worthing and Shoreham


Tim Loughton MP was born Timothy Paul Loughton on 30 May 1962 in Eastbourne, England and is the Conservative MP for East Worthing and Shoreham.


Currently sitting on the Home Affairs Committee (since September 2017), Tim Loughton does not chair at this time.

He has in the past sat on Home Affairs Committee (Jul 2015 to May 2017), Home Affairs Committee (Nov 2014 to Mar 2015), Draft Mental Health Bill (Joint Committee) (Jul 2004 to Jul 2005), Environmental Audit Committee (Nov 1997 to Nov 2001).


In the past, Tim Loughton has held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Education) (2010 to 2012) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Children) (2003 to 2010), Shadow Spokesperson (Health) (2001 to 2003), Shadow Spokesperson (Environment, Transport and the Regions) (2000 to 2001) in opposition.
