The Rt Hon. the Lord Lansley CBE was born Andrew Lansley on 11 December 1956 , and is a Conservative Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 05 October 2015. He previously sat in the House Of Commons as MP for South Cambridgeshire.
Currently sitting on the EU Internal Market Sub-Committee (since May 2016), Lord Lansley does not chair at this time.
He has in the past sat on Speaker's Committee for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority
In the past, Lord Lansley has held the position of Leader of the House of Commons and Lord Privy Seal (2012 to 2014), Secretary of State for Health (2010 to 2012) in government.
He was Shadow Secretary of State for Health (2003 to 2010), Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office and Policy Renewal (1999 to 2001) in opposition.
He was Vice-Chair, Conservative Party.
