Mark Tami MP

Alyn and Deeside


Mark Tami MP was born Mark Richard Tami on 03 October 1962 in Enfield, London, England and is the Labour MP for Alyn and Deeside.


Currently sitting on the Administration Committee (since July 2015), Palace of Westminster (Joint Committee) (since July 2015), Committee of Selection (since June 2015), Mark Tami does not chair at this time.

He has in the past sat on Administration Committee (Jan 2012 to Mar 2015), Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art (Nov 2010 to Nov 2011), Committee of Selection (Oct 2010 to Mar 2015), Crossrail Bill (Nov 2007 to Nov 2007), Human Rights (Joint Committee) (Jan 2007 to Nov 2007), Tax Law Rewrite Bills (Joint Committee) (Nov 2005 to Nov 2007), Northern Ireland Affairs Committee (Jul 2001 to Jul 2005).


Mark Tami is currently Opposition Pairing Whip (Commons), an opposition position he has held since October 2011.

In the past, Mark Tami has held the position of Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) (2007 to 2010) in government.

He was Opposition Whip (Commons) (2010 to 2015) in opposition.
