Kevin Brennan MP

Kevin Brennan MP was born Kevin Denis Brennan on 16 October 1959 in Cwmbran, Wales and is the Labour MP for Cardiff West.


Kevin Brennan is currently Shadow Minister (Culture, Media and Sport) (Arts and Heritage), an opposition position he has held since October 2016.

In the past, Kevin Brennan has held the position of Minister of State (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) (Further Education, Skills, Apprenticeships and Consumer Affairs) (also Department for Children, Schools and Families) (2009 to 2010), Minister of State (Department for Children, Schools and Families) (also Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) (2009 to 2010), Parliamentary Secretary (Cabinet Office) (Third Sector) (2008 to 2009), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Children, Schools and Families) (Children, Young People and Families) (2007 to 2008), Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) (Whip) (2006 to 2007), Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) (2005 to 2006) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Business, Innovation and Skills) (2015 to 2016), Shadow Minister (Education) (2010 to 2015), Shadow Minister (Business, Innovation and Skills) (2010 to 2010) in opposition.
