Mr Mark Prisk MP

Hertford and Stortford


Mr Mark Prisk MP was born Michael Mark Prisk on 12 June 1962 in Redruth, England and is the Conservative MP for Hertford and Stortford.


Currently sitting on the Communities and Local Government Committee (since September 2017), Mr Mark Prisk does not chair at this time.

He has in the past sat on Communities and Local Government Committee (Jul 2015 to May 2017), Speaker's Committee on the Electoral Commission (Sep 2012 to Nov 2013), Regulatory Reform (Jun 2008 to Jun 2009), Welsh Affairs Committee (Jul 2001 to Jul 2005).


In the past, Mr Mark Prisk has held the position of Minister of State (Department for Communities and Local Government) (Housing) (2012 to 2013), Minister of State (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) (Business and Enterprise) (2010 to 2012) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Business, Innovation and Skills) (2009 to 2010), Shadow Minister (Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform) (2005 to 2009), Shadow Paymaster General (2003 to 2004), Shadow Financial Secretary (2002 to 2003) in opposition.
