Barry Gardiner MP

Barry Gardiner MP was born Barry Strachan Gardiner on 10 March 1957 in Glasgow, Scotland and is the Labour MP for Brent North.
Barry Gardiner is currently Shadow Minister (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) (Energy and Climate Change), an opposition position he has held since July 2016.
In addition to this role, he is also Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade.
In the past, Barry Gardiner has held the position of Special Envoy for Forestry (2007 to 2008), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (Biodiversity, Landscape and Rural Affairs) (2006 to 2007), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Trade and Industry) (Delivery and Efficiency) (2005 to 2006), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Northern Ireland Office) (2004 to 2005) in government.
He was Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change (2016 to 2016), Shadow Minister (Energy and Climate Change) (2015 to 2016), Shadow Minister (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (2013 to 2015) in opposition.
