Tom Watson was born Thomas Anthony Watson on 08 January 1967 in Sheffield, England and is the Labour MP for West Bromwich East.

Tom Watson ceased to be a member of the House of Commons on 03 May 2017 (general election).


In the past, Tom Watson has held the position of Parliamentary Secretary (Cabinet Office) (2008 to 2009), Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) (2007 to 2008), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Ministry of Defence) (Veterans) (2006 to 2006), Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) (Whip) (2005 to 2006), Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) (2004 to 2005) in government.

He was Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport (2016 to 2017), Shadow Minister (Cabinet Office) (2015 to 2016), Labour Party Deputy Chair; Campaign Co-ordinator (2011 to 2013) in opposition.

He was Party Chair, Labour Party, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Deputy Chair, Labour Party, Member, Labour Party National Executive Committee.
