Ian C. Lucas MP



Ian C. Lucas MP was born Ian Colin Lucas on 18 September 1960 in Gateshead, England and is the Labour MP for Wrexham.


Currently sitting on the Culture, Media and Sport Committee (since July 2015), Ian C. Lucas does not chair at this time.

He has in the past sat on Procedure Committee (Jul 2015 to Nov 2016), Draft Constitutional Renewal Bill (Joint Committee) (May 2008 to Jul 2008), Public Accounts Committee (Jun 2007 to Nov 2007), Transport Committee (Jan 2003 to Jul 2005), Procedure Committee (Jul 2001 to Jun 2002), Environmental Audit Committee (Jul 2001 to Oct 2003).


In the past, Ian C. Lucas has held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) (Business and Regulatory Reform) (2009 to 2010), Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) (2008 to 2009) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Defence) (2014 to 2015), Shadow Minister (Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) (2011 to 2014), Shadow Minister (Business, Innovation and Skills) (2010 to 2011), Shadow Minister (Business and Regulatory Reform) (2010 to 2010) in opposition.
