Rt Hon Edward Miliband ceased to be a member of the House of Commons on 03 May 2017 (general election).

In the past, Edward Miliband has held the position of Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change (2008 to 2010), Minister (Cabinet Office) and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (2007 to 2008), Parliamentary Secretary (Cabinet Office) (2006 to 2007) in government.

He was Leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition (2010 to 2015), Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change (2010 to 2010) in opposition.

He was Leader of the Labour Party.
