Rt Hon David Mundell

Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale


Rt Hon David Mundell was born David Gordon Mundell on 27 May 1962 in Dumfries, Scotland and is the Conservative MP for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale.

Rt Hon David Mundell ceased to be a member of the House of Commons on 03 May 2017 (general election).


In the past, David Mundell has held the position of Secretary of State for Scotland (2015 to 2017), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Scotland Office) (2010 to 2015) in government.

He was Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland (2005 to 2010) in opposition.


David Mundell has the following specific interests :
