The Rt Hon. the Baroness Featherstone was born Lynne Featherstone on 20 December 1951 , and is a Liberal Democrat Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 20 October 2015. She previously sat in the House Of Commons as MP for Hornsey and Wood Green.
Baroness Featherstone is currently Liberal Democrat Lords Spokesperson (Energy and Climate Change), an opposition position she has held since November 2015.
In the past, Baroness Featherstone has held the position of Minister of State (Home Office) (2014 to 2015), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for International Development) (2012 to 2014), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Home Office) (2010 to 2012), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Government Equalities Office) (2010 to 2011) in government.
She was Shadow Minister (Children, Schools and Families) (2008 to 2010), Shadow Spokesperson (Communities and Local Government) (2006 to 2007), Shadow Secretary of State for International Development (2006 to 2007), Shadow Spokesperson (Home Affairs) (2005 to 2006) in opposition.
