James Duddridge MP

Rochford and Southend East


James Duddridge MP was born James Philip Duddridge on 26 August 1971 in Bristol, England and is the Conservative MP for Rochford and Southend East.


Currently sitting on the International Development Sub-Committee on the Work of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (since September 2017), International Development Committee (since September 2017), James Duddridge does not chair at this time.

He has in the past sat on Procedure Committee (Nov 2016 to May 2017), Draft Deregulation Bill (Joint Committee) (Jul 2013 to Dec 2013), Liaison Committee (Commons) (Dec 2012 to Sep 2014), Regulatory Reform (Dec 2012 to Sep 2014), International Development Committee (Jul 2006 to Mar 2008), Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee (Jul 2005 to Feb 2007). He has also chaired in the past Regulatory Reform (Dec 2012 to Sep 2014).


In the past, James Duddridge has held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) (2014 to 2016), Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) (Whip) (2010 to 2012) in government.

He was Opposition Whip (Commons) (2008 to 2010) in opposition.
