Mr Robert Goodwill MP was born Robert Goodwill on 31 December 1956 in Terrington , England and is the Conservative MP for Scarborough and Whitby.


Mr Robert Goodwill is currently Minister of State (Department for Education), a government position he has held since June 2017.

In the past, Mr Robert Goodwill has held the position of Minister of State (Home Office) (Immigration) (2016 to 2017), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Transport) (2013 to 2016), Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) (Whip) (2012 to 2013), Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) (2010 to 2012) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Transport) (2007 to 2010), Opposition Whip (Commons) (2006 to 2007) in opposition.
