Tim Farron

Westmorland and Lonsdale


Tim Farron was born Timothy James Farron on 27 May 1970 in Preston, England and is the Liberal Democrat MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale.

Tim Farron ceased to be a member of the House of Commons on 03 May 2017 (general election).


He was Shadow Secretary of State (Environment) (2008 to 2010), Shadow Minister (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (2007 to 2008), Shadow Minister (Home Affairs) (2007 to 2007), Shadow Spokesperson (Children, Schools and Families) (2005 to 2006) in opposition.

He was Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Party Chair, Liberal Democrats.
