Robert Neill MP

Bromley and Chislehurst


Robert Neill MP was born Robert James Macgillivray Neill on 24 June 1952 in Hornchurch, England and is the Conservative MP for Bromley and Chislehurst.


Currently sitting on the National Security Strategy (Joint Committee) (since November 2015), Liaison Committee (Commons) (since September 2015), Robert Neill chairs the Justice Committee (June 2015).

He has in the past sat on Political and Constitutional Reform Committee (Dec 2013 to Mar 2015), Justice Committee (Nov 2012 to Feb 2013), Justice Committee (Nov 2007 to May 2010), Constitutional Affairs (Dec 2006 to Nov 2007).


In the past, Robert Neill has held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Communities and Local Government) (Planning) (2010 to 2012) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Communities and Local Government) (2007 to 2010) in opposition.

He was Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (Substitute Member), Vice-Chair, Conservative Party, Deputy Chair, Conservative Party.
