The Baroness Stern CBE

The Baroness Stern CBE was born Vivien Helen Stern on 25 September 1941 , and is a Crossbench Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 13 July 1999.


Currently sitting on the Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee (formerly Merits Committee) (since June 2014), Baroness Stern does not chair at this time.

She has in the past sat on Inquiries Act 2005 Committee (May 2013 to Feb 2014), Statutory Instruments (Joint Committee) (Jun 2010 to Mar 2015), Human Rights (Joint Committee) (Nov 2004 to Dec 2008), EU Sub-Committee F (Dec 1999 to Nov 2003), European Union Committee (Dec 1999 to Nov 2003).
