The Baroness Whitaker

The Baroness Whitaker was born Janet Alison Whitaker on 20 February 1936 , and is a Labour Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 05 August 1999.


Currently sitting on the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 Committee (since June 2017), Baroness Whitaker does not chair at this time.

She has in the past sat on National Policy for the Built Environment Committee (Jun 2015 to Feb 2016), Draft Bribery Bill (Joint Committee) (May 2009 to Jul 2009), Intergovernmental Organisations Committee (Nov 2007 to Jul 2008), Draft Corruption Bill (Joint Committee) (Mar 2003 to Jul 2003), Human Rights (Joint Committee) (Jul 2001 to Nov 2003), EU Sub-Committee F (Dec 2000 to Nov 2002).
