The Baroness Buscombe

Life peer


The Baroness Buscombe was born Peta Jane Buscombe on 12 March 1954 , and is a Conservative Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 23 July 1998.


Currently sitting on the National Security Strategy (Joint Committee) (since December 2015), Baroness Buscombe does not chair at this time.

She has in the past sat on Human Rights (Joint Committee) (Jul 2015 to May 2016), Human Rights (Joint Committee) (Jan 2014 to Mar 2015), Inquiries Act 2005 Committee (May 2013 to Feb 2014), EU Sub Committee B - Internal Market, Infrastructure and Employment (May 2012 to May 2013).


Baroness Buscombe is currently Baroness in Waiting (HM Household) (Whip), a government position she has held since December 2016.
