Ms Margaret Ritchie MP was born Margaret Ritchie on 25 March 1958 in Down Patrick, Northern Ireland and is the Social Democratic & Labour Party MP for South Down.


Currently sitting on the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee (since July 2015), Ms Margaret Ritchie does not chair at this time.

She has in the past sat on Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Sub-Committee (Oct 2015 to Nov 2016), Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee (Jan 2012 to Mar 2015).


She was Shadow SDLP Spokesperson (Energy and Climate Change) (2010 to 2015), Shadow SDLP Spokesperson (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (2010 to 2015) in opposition.
