Rory Stewart MP

Penrith and The Border


Rory Stewart MP was born Roderick James Nugent Stewart on 03 January 1973 in Hong Kong and is the Conservative MP for Penrith and The Border.


Rory Stewart is currently Minister of State (Department for International Development) (Joint with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office), a government position he has held since June 2017.

In addition to this role, he is also Minister of State (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) (Joint with the Department for International Development).

In the past, Rory Stewart has held the position of Minister of State (Department for International Development) (2016 to 2017), Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (2015 to 2016) in government.
