Tony Lloyd MP
Tony Lloyd MP was born Anthony Joseph Lloyd on 25 February 1950 in England and is the Labour MP for Rochdale. He has been an MP since 08 June 2017 and has previously sat in the House of Commons for Manchester Central and Stretford.
Tony Lloyd is currently Shadow Minister (Housing), an opposition position he has held since July 2017.
In the past, Tony Lloyd has held the position of Minister of State (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) (1997 to 1999) in government.
He was Shadow Spokesperson (Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) (1995 to 1997), Shadow Spokesperson (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (1994 to 1995), Shadow Spokesperson (Education) (1992 to 1994), Shadow Spokesperson (Transport) (1988 to 1989), Shadow Spokesperson (Work and Pensions) (1988 to 1992), Opposition Whip (Commons) (1986 to 1987) in opposition.
He was Chair, Parliamentary Labour Party.
