Sir Gerald Howarth



Sir Gerald Howarth was born James Gerald Douglas Howarth on 12 September 1947 in Guildford, England and is the Conservative MP for Aldershot. He has been an MP since 01 May 1997 and has previously sat in the House of Commons for Cannock and Burntwood .

Sir Gerald Howarth ceased to be a member of the House of Commons on 03 May 2017 (general election).


In the past, Sir Gerald Howarth has held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Ministry of Defence) (2010 to 2012) in government.

He was Shadow Minister (Defence) (2002 to 2010) in opposition.
