Rt Hon Ann Clwyd MP was born Ann Clwyd on 21 March 1937 in Denbighshire, Wales and is the Labour MP for Cynon Valley.
Currently sitting on the Committees on Arms Export Controls (formerly Quadripartite Committee) (since February 2016), Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee (since January 2016), Foreign Affairs Committee (since July 2015), Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art (since July 2015), Ann Clwyd does not chair at this time.

She was Shadow Spokesperson (Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) (1994 to 1995), Shadow Spokesperson (Work and Pensions) (1993 to 1994), Shadow Minister (Culture, Media and Sport) (1992 to 1993), Shadow Secretary of State for Wales (1992 to 1992), Shadow Secretary of State for International Development (1989 to 1992), Shadow Minister (Education) (1987 to 1988) in opposition.
She was Chair, Parliamentary Labour Party, Special Envoy to PM on Human Rights in Iraq, Member, Labour Party National Executive Committee.
