The Rt Hon. the Lord Kinnock was born Neil Gordon Kinnock on 28 March 1942 , and is a Labour Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 28 January 2005. He previously sat in the House Of Commons as MP for Islwyn and Bedwellty.
He was Leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition (1983 to 1992), Shadow Secretary of State (1979 to 1983) in opposition.
He was Vice-President of the European Commission, European Commissioner, Party Chair, Labour Party, Leader of the Labour Party, Member, Labour Party National Executive Committee.
