The Baroness Fookes DBE was born Janet Evelyn Fookes on 21 February 1936 , and is a Conservative Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 30 September 1997. She previously sat in the House Of Commons as MP for Plymouth Drake and Merton and Morden.
