Ian Paisley MP

North Antrim


Ian Paisley MP was born Ian Richard Kyle Paisley on 12 December 1966 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is the Democratic Unionist Party MP for North Antrim.


Currently sitting on the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee (since September 2017), Panel of Chairs (since June 2017), Ian Paisley does not chair at this time.

He has in the past sat on Panel of Chairs (Oct 2016 to May 2017), Palace of Westminster (Joint Committee) (Jul 2015 to May 2017), Northern Ireland Affairs Committee (Jul 2015 to Dec 2016), House of Commons Governance Committee (Oct 2014 to Dec 2014), Northern Ireland Affairs Committee (Jul 2010 to Mar 2015).


Ian Paisley is currently Shadow DUP Spokesperson (Culture, Media and Sport), an opposition position he has held since May 2015.

In addition to this role, he is also Shadow DUP Spokesperson (Communities and Local Government).

He was Shadow DUP Spokesperson (Energy and Climate Change) (2015 to 2017), Shadow DUP Spokesperson (Work and Pensions) (2010 to 2015), Shadow DUP Spokesperson (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) (2010 to 2015) in opposition.
